“Hey! Thanks for checking out my site! My name is Jennifer (McAdow) Laubach….married since September 24, 2016 and happier than ever… My husband’s name is Jeremy and he’s in the same field as me, we are broadcasting obsessed! I’m here to just tell my story, show some of my work, and get more work! Mostly, I’m just trying to make it in the big bad world. I grew up in Peebles, Ohio…extremely small place in the middle of nowhere. Honestly, I wouldn’t change it for the world. Almost my entire family still lives there, and it’s the one place I can genuinely feel like I’m at home. My whole life I’ve loved the media. I love stories and art and the ability to be creative. I used to fall asleep reading books, and to this day I can quote any Disney movie ever made…seriously. Being from Peebles, there aren’t many options to explore for careers (especially in what I was interested in doing). So eventually I went to x-ray school. At first I loved it, however…the creativity bug was biting at me the entire time. During the medical period of my life, I never stopped reading, writing, painting, talking and participating in anything industry related. I was in a drama class and club after I graduated with an Associate In Arts and transferred to a university. There I graduated with a Bachelors in Individualized Studies…so I did x-ray, Communications and Journalism. I moved around for a few years after that and did a lot of writing and soul searching. I ended up in Cincinnati, and discovered an actual Broadcasting School, OCB. Growing up where I did, I had no idea schools like that even existed. My parents thought I was crazy for going to school AGAIN…and face it, it IS kinda crazy. I didn’t care though. I helped in plays, behind the scenes on movies, did many interviews, got a taste of what it would be like; and I knew this was the place I needed to be. While attending the school I met some amazing people, and I got to work on several Hollywood feature films. I also had my own radio show and was very involved with the station. We got to do some advertising/marketing and promotions, and I finally felt like I was where God planned for me to be. I got a job at two Modeling/Talent agencies as an agent/scout, and I even landed a few jobs through them! Now I’m the Education and Social Media Coordinator for the Ohio Media School (used to be OCB) and I also run the Social Media and all of the Promotions and Events for Cincyundergroun.com our internet radio station. In my free time I freelance for films, commericals, documentaries, I model and do whatever video and photography projects I can get my hands on…this industry is great and I wouldn’t change how my life is turning out at all.”
